He is skilled in studio and location lighting, as well as a manipulator of natural light.

My passion for hair and make-up started at a young age with sneaking into my mom's make-up and closet and cutting my own hair. I officially started in the beauty industry in 1997 making a switch from fashion and retail.
I started as a receptionist in a high end salon and fell in love
with the industry. I worked and went to beauty school and started out
as a make-up artist. Wanting more, I went back to school and got my
hair certificate. I made a brave leap with the encouragement of two
men David Scott and Brian Evans of Tonic Salon and went right into leasing my own chair. In 2008 Heidi Style moved into our own salon space in the Bancorp Tower in Downtown Portland.
I have worked for Sebastian International for five years as an educator and platform artist in hair and make-up. I have had the opportunity to work and meet many interesting people doing freelance and commercial work. I have not left my retail roots entirely. I am still involved in many facets of the industry: Buying, consulting and event planning.
